Sugar and Spice Almonds


  • 1.5 tablespoons slightly beaten egg white
  • 3 cups whole raw almonds {pecan halves or walnut halves work too}
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl combine the sugar and spices. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl stir together the almonds and egg white until well coated. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the almonds and stir until completely coated.
  4. Spread the almonds in a single layer on a large ungreased baking sheet with sides.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until the nuts are lightly toasted.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  7. These can be store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
